Importing low value items into Ireland
In 2021 the EU abolished the duty and VAT de minimis threshold, so unfortunately all goods imported into Ireland will incur duty and tax. However if you’re receiving a gift, then there is an exemption for gifts valued under €45.

Every carrier charges a fee for clearing dutiable goods through Irish customs, which is normally a fixed fee or a % of the value of the goods, whichever is greater.
